WALMART IS DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING PRACTICES THAT ARE GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT ON LONG ISLAND
At Walmart, we know that being an efficient and profitable business and being a good steward of the environment are goals that can work together.  Our environmental goals at Walmart are simple and straightforward:

In keeping with the spirit of Earth Day, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. worked with Suffolk County Legislator Ricardo Montano (pictured above with the co-manager of the Islip Wal-Mart store) to donate the last pallet of bulk laundry detergent to the Central Islip Civic Council Food Pantry.
Here on Long Island, Walmart is also working to take steps that improve our local environment and to provide products that will help our customers save money and make a difference in their own lives, in the lives of their families, in their communities and for the planet.
